A Truly Awesome Man, Husband, Father, Relative and Friend to have. Stephen lived day by day in his own unique way and amazed us all with his inner strength, dignity and determination throughout the last 3 years. He was determined to get into his "Retirement Home" in France and with the help and support of many, both here and in France he did .... slept upstairs for 3 nights (4 years in a caravan and he fell out of a real bed!!).
Although we have had an amazing medical team behind us we always knew the cancer would catch up with him eventually and it is thanks to his amazing medical team and St Leonard's Hospice@Home he was able to die with dignity, in no pain and finally calm and peaceful in his Conservatory holding my hand with the boys (Bobby and Walter).
Happy Birthday Stephen... May you be dancing with the Daffodils. Cant believe how old you would of been today and will always love and miss you. D xxxx
